Another good day at Audio West Studios had us completing all of the scratch work for the acoustic CD. 10 tracks, mostly new music. We are sending the music to the musicians that will be colaborating in this project and I am pretty excited about what is slowly manifesting.
Also doing some auditions looking for missing members of the band… Good times!
Will post a sample of the new music after next session. Also we will be playing a show at Pangeas on the 17 of April. More info will follow.
Much peace!

Julie and I spent another 5 hours recording this last month and should finish all of the scratch work on the new CD shortly. This project has taken an organic turn and we are recording 9 new songs, all acoustically. The project will involve guest musicians with unexpected instruments and surprises in each track.
We are also looking for new musicians to play with the band. So if you got acoustic chops we will be auditioning for a bass player and drummer/percussionist. Check here for updates soon and a little sample of the new music.
Much peace…KTalon
New year, new faces, music, CD, and a ton of gigging coming up. We are about as giddy as a school girl for 2010. Speaking of which let me tell you about Julie Taquin. Julie has officially joined the KTalonBand and played her first gig to a very full house at Pangea’s on December 15th. Her sparkling personality, smile and playing where warmly received. Julie is an intuitive violin player with a classical background who has captured what our music is all about and has added her own layer to this musical cake of ours.
We will be back at Audiowest Studio on the 15th to record and shoot video on 4 new songs (will post on youtube)and are planning in completing the CD by April.
We are currently booking and schedule shows for the first part of the year and will be posting dates soon.
2009 was a weird little year and we are definitely looking for great things in 2010. We look forward to see our friends live and thank the continued support we have received from our listeners.
Peace and much love to us all

So things are slowly moving forward. Naluh has had surgery and we start chemotherapy this friday. The band has been silent because if my muse is not well, I’m not writing anything. If I’m not writing anything, you are listening to the same stuff.
So I am happy to say that we are breaking our silence on December 5th at Pangeas for a songwriters acoustic show. We will be bringing new music and a new band member. Come listen to Julie Taquin as she adds very intuitive violin to our sound. Also brand new music that was born during these funky times we are going through…New song is called “NOT THE WAY I PLANNED IT” and we would like to unveiled it to you, our friends…
We will post more info on this and upcoming gigs…
Much love, check the tatas and love those around you…time is always short…
So those of us who are cursed with the songwriting thing write for many reasons. First because it is a curse and as such one doesn’t have a choice. We cope and exorcise the jumble of words and the incessant sound tracks in our heads the best we can. So we write about everything… People, places, likes, dislikes, drinking, hell people write about fricking pickup trucks. The prevalent theme is LOVE. Love lost, found, first love, remembered love, love sickness, love hatred .
If you are lucky you will find a muse to inspire your ditties and those of us that still feel our hearts pound at the sight of our girl (or guy) have a definite advantage over those who try to remember what that felt like.
I am lucky to have a muse who still rocks my boat and 90% of what you hear me play on stage is a direct reaction to how she makes me feel.
My muse is strong and brave and beautiful. She gives me strength through her strength and she gives me music and a reason to write everyday.
My Naluh is winning a drag down rumble with breast cancer. She is the one that has to face this thing and I am walking this road with her humbly doing what I can to help. The guitar keeps the house from being quiet, new music is being generated and will soon be shared. My biggest job is to follow and, if need be, carry my Muse a little bit when things get hard.
Things have been slow but they are moving and we will be back in 2010 with a bang.
Yep! The unreasonable need to buy food and keep the bill collector away kept me away from the guitar and arranging for bookings this week. Work was crazy and I was actually out of town for several days.
So now I find myself paralyzed by our bitchen Sacramento weather and the thought of leaving the house is dreadful unless the plan involves kiteboarding or playing music.
We played the benefit at Pangaea’s last Saturday and meet some cool cats with a great sound. We also had our new member Mark playing with us live for the first time and the cello sure did find it’s place into the mix.
Will be posting some dates shortly, so keep checking the blog and listening to music at every chance you get. It is something that binds us all and life is never that interesting if a sound track is not attached to it.
Peace…KTalon
Little transition for the band. We have lost our drummer to conflicting schedules, work, commitments… life!!! We are already auditioning potential replacements and should be back on track, or better yet, on beat again soon.
I had mentioned some surprises we had been working on and are happy to announce that mentioned surprised has come to fruition. We encourage our friends to come to the next show and check it out.
I will be back to the studio on the 21st to plan the final stretch of the cd. Hoping to post new videos to youtube by months end. New song “All About Me” next on the record list.
Will keep you posted…
